Made of cast brass, some of which has a lovely bronze patina, resulting in an interplay between the two finishes. The bell has an attractive ring, achieved by swinging the bell or striking it with whatever's handy. Excellent condition save a couple of small spots on the base where the patina has been worn away (photographed). This decorative object is nicely cast, with excellent detail. Whether it was made in the United States, or China...?
