He had studied art of sculpture in paris and was appointed as sculptor of meissen porcelain manufactory then (1762). Acier created many models generally in style of rococo and specially in watteau style. Finally, the sculptor became model master of the saxon king in year 1780, moving to dresden then. Made circa 1870 hallmarked: meissen blue sword mark with pommels on hilts (glazed bottom) model number c 60 / former's number 120 / painter's number 74 first quality specification: two figurines - a childlike lovely couple clad in rococo garments - are attached to rocky base: the boyish wine grower seizes a bottle with red wine as well as a wine glass, the woman holds a basket filled with flowers and a flowers' bundle - a basket with fruits is visible next to woman's feet, too. - the edge of rocky base is decorated with rocaille ornaments. Size: height 6.29 inches (16.0 cm) / width 4.33 inches (11.0 cm) depth 2.75 inches (7.0 cm) bibliography: sabine & thomas bergmann, meissen figures, model numbers a 1 - z 99, erlangen (germany) 2014, catalogue number 107 on page 68 condition: very good / there aren't any damages existing.
