Baluster vase on a stepped base ring, bulbous body with a short neck and flared mouth rim, colorless glass with … Read more Baluster vase on a stepped base ring, bulbous body with a short neck and flared mouth rim, colorless glass with flaky green powder inclusions in the lower area and rusty brown in the upper area, with etched tulip decoration painted in colored enamel with gold heightening and gilding on the foot and on the collar, satined, structured surface in the background, base smoothly polished, gold-painted signature 'DAUM NANCY' with Cross of Lorraine on the underside. Technique: Handmade cameo glass Glass overlaid with several layers, with high-cut worked out motifs. Since the middle of the 19th century, the design has also been done by etching.
