A fabulous French Empire period giltwood figural candlestick, early 19th century, now professionally electrified and fashioned as a single-light table lamp.
Exquisitely hand carved, sculpted, gessoed and polychromed gilded wood, exceptionally executed sculptural form, having a single light, over cornucopia-form standard with carved fruit and foliates, terminating in winged putti mask, rising on tripartite base with carved stylized dolphin fish supports with shell and incised ornamentation, further raised on ornate paw feet.
