Created on the Île de la Cité close to the Pont Neuf of Paris during the 19th century, this handsome rectangular box is made of a leather over wood structure accented with a regular rhythm of brass braces whose golden color contrasts with the dark brown wood beautifully. A rectangular lid, showcasing the monogram AB in its center, opens to reveal a compartmented interior fitted with chamois cloth, intended to receive cutlery. The label indicates the provenance. The sides present lateral handles allowing the piece to be moved more easily.
