Who’s in charge here!? No argument from the likes of me!
In my humble opinion, the sculptor got this exactly right! She’s the Sailor Girl who launched a thousand ships…
She’s cast plaster with the most amazing finish, what I’d call a warm pearlescent color. The luster of this piece will entrance you, if you need further entrancing.
There are only a couple of minor (and insignificant) flaws: one, a small scratch on her right leg, just to the right of her knee (from her perspective). Another tiny flaw appears on the base, just to the right of center, in front. You’ll only notice these if you’re able to break away from those riveting blue eyes…
Truly a “tour de force” by an Art Deco artist!
Measurements: 10 ½ inches high. The base is 4 ¾ by 2 ¾.
