Created in China during the midcentury period, this ceramic sculpture depicts a heron bird standing on a bunch of reed grass. Hunched over, the bird is covered with a delightful green glaze contrasted by the presence of his blue beak, legs and brown glass eyes. His wings tucked to the back along his body, he is carefully looking at the ground.
