Here is such a neat, collectable piece from the early 1900's. This is an Infant Weighing Machine and was made by Salter for Boots, for the task of weighing babies. Back then, you would have the druggist/pharmacist do that for you, so this was a bit of a show piece in the store. There are four arms that extend from the base of the scale which once held a wicker basket - the basket is not included. The shape of the arms is oval. The scale is a wonderful blue color and can weigh items up to 28 lbs. The front of the scale, the information part, looks really great! I think this would be so fun in a nursery or on a kitchen counter or in a craft room =)
Base only (arms not included in measurement) is 7 x 6.5 x 9.5
