Original French Etchings by artist Varin, Copyright by Sidney F. Lucas, Engraved in aquatint PEs/85. Historical views printed in the mid 20th Century showing 19th Century Wall Street during 1934 in the heart of New York City’s financial district during a snowy winter.
This historical piece was created by artis Varin and copyrighted by Sidney F. Lucas. This 1834 etching depicts a New York City Scene in which tall building line the street with two steeples that stand taller than the rest. The snow covered streets are filled with horse pulled sleighs and dogs running about. The icy sidewalks show city dwellers waling about and going about their business. The muted colors are subtle but distinct and have a calming quality to them. The artwork is in excellent condition and are featured in vintage wood frames behind glass. The frames show age related wear. Dimensions: Frame 21”x27”, Artwork 20”x26”.
