It has been cleaned, and conditioned with food grade cutting board oil, and the wood grain pops! It carries the mark "Monkey pod Hardwoods Hawaii" carved on the underside. The rich, mid-brown color would pair well with almost any color scheme but lends itself especially well to a mid-century modern look. There is one, small scratch (the size of a fingernail - see photos) on the underside that is not that noticeable. I think this piece would make a great focal point on a coffee table, console, or other medium height, flat surface. See less
