Rudolf Wolf (1919-1989) Gaasbeek & Van Tiel, period: 1960s, origin: The Netherlands, dimensions: h63 x w84 x d65 cm, material: faux leather, metal, original upholstery Rudolf Wolf’s ‘Meander’ armchair is a true classic thanks to its prominent role in the immensely popular Dutch t.v. series Mies en scène. The program, named after its host Mies ‘queen of the screen’ Bouwman, was a mix of news and entertainment, interluded with a famous interview section staged in a tête-à-tête set-up of Wolf’s Meander chairs.
