This Imperial Glass purple slag glass owl was made in the USA in the 1960s. The Imperial Glass Company was
Established in 1901 by a river boat captain who bought glass manufacturing companies in Ohio in an area known as “Glass City” despite what the label says. The Company went into production in 1904. The owl is mold blown and shows seams where the sides were joined.
