Made of heavy cast and shaved bronze or brass in a characteristic tapered form with two squared handles
Most likely for apothecary use, but could be a kitchen tool as well
The pestle seems to be the original one
Circa 19th century, most likely European
Measurements: Approx. 4" tall x 4.75" handle to handle x 4.5" widest diameter; the pestle is 6.75" long
