A French, fruitwood country house storage bin, linen basket or occasional chair, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1850.

Distinctive tapering oval form with delightful craftsmanship
Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order
Fruitwood stocks present fine grain interest and warm biscuit hues

Wide oval lid, with low back rest offers a reassuring occasional seat
Adorned with a shield shaped back rest with inset oval grasp
