Initially a poet and writer, he turned to visual art in the 1980s, specializing in painting and sculpture. His work, often featuring natural materials, explores the connection between language, nature, and culture. Perejaume has exhibited worldwide, including at the Venice Biennale and MoMA, and received awards such as the National Prize for Visual Arts in Catalonia. He is also a curator and cultural critic, and his studio and garden in Sant Pol de Mar inspire his creations.
