Fabulous pair of cast iron candlestick holders, designed by the famed Jens Quistgaard for Dansk. The simple and elegant design features a base in a tapered modern "S" shape and a slender cone-shaped holder. The iron is finished in a rough matte black surface with a small ring of brass between the two parts "Denmark" embossed on the bottom "S" section.
They measure 4 1/4" high by 4 3/4" wide and accommodates what are considered "tiny tapers", which measure approx. 1/2" in diameter.
They are in very good vintage condition, with age appropriate wear.
