This plate … Read more An absolutely stunning example of the early ceramic work by painter, architect and designer henry varnum poor (1887-1970). This plate is in fantastic near original condition with only two tiny glaze nicks to one edge (see side pic.). The "crack" in the back was a firing crack which is original to the plate and does not show through to the front. Like many of poor's plates the plate is slightly irregular. One would be hard pressed to find any ceramic piece by poor in such amazing condition. The plate measures 8.25" Diameter.
