Antique French Louis XV style kidney-shaped accent table, conceived as both a functional surface and an ornament for a refined Parisian salon. The sculptural kidney form is carried through the beautifully shaped top, apron, and lower shelf, creating fluid lines and a harmonious composition.
Walnut and satinwood veneers frame the intricate floral marquetry centered upon the top, while the lower shelf is finished with carefully arranged veneers. Finely cast bronze ormolu edging follows the table’s curves, complemented by foliate ormolu mounts and decorative sabots. Simple, elegant, and beautifully detailed, this French accent table brings together fine cabinetmaking, sculptural form, and decorative artistry.
