This Franco-Swiss couple wanted to make art with everyday objects from simple materials. They were in opposition to Art Deco, which used luxurious materials. Their goal was also to make art accessible to a more popular audience. For this the couple favored a return to simple materials such as hemp ropes, beech and bamboo. Living in Provence, they were part of a collective of artists with whom they shared the same values, such as Charlotte Perriand and Jean Prouvé. Made circa 1950. Good condition. P 4.5 / 61 / 38. 2.9 Kg. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
