This beautiful, antique inkwell was created in France, circa 1880. The desk accessory is made of pewter and sits on four small curved feet. The office essential features a proud lion standing on a mount with two ink holders on both sides. The piece is signed behind the left ink holder, A. Bossu. The inkwell is in excellent condition, has a rich pewter patina, and would make a useful addition to a library or study.
Measures: 17" W x 9" D x 9" H.
