About the Item
Wonderful pair of late 19th century Italian chests or commodinis made of burled walnut in the Baroque Venetian style. Each oxbow front chest has a beautifully shaped top, front, and sides with heavily burled insets outlined in walnut banding. The case contains two drawers with decorative brass pulls and traditional Italian paper linings. Bracket feet support the antique chests that have a rich patina that has darkened over time. They could be easily be incorporated into an interior as nightstands or side tables.
