An extraordinary 1965 offset lithograph by Herbert Bayer (Austrian, 1900 - 1985)
Prints from this 1965 portfolio seldom appear on the market. This is a great opportunity to acquire a rare lithograph by Bayer 57 years after it's initial printing.

Herbert Bayer was known as the last living member of The Bauhaus. He was a painter, photographer, sculptor and architect. He was the director of printing and advertising at the Bauhaus art school in Germany until 1928.
The notes in the lower left corner, "1. tender picture E 1928/22" indicate this to be the first print, from his 1965 portfolio of 14 lithographs; the original oil on board painting was done in 1928, and was the 22nd painting done in that year.
