Directed by Andrzej Papuzinski, Bykowi Chwala was a 1971 Polish documentary whose title roughly translates to 'Bull Glory' or 'Glory of the Bull'. The seller managed to find a ten-minute montage of the movie - funnily enough, not a single frame contained the image of a bull. However, an artist demonstrating his prowess in a diversity of media - calligraphy, ink, paint, even chalk - was heavily featured, as well as his artistic creations. The bull may simply be a metaphor, and the glory speaks to the man's talent.
The poster itself is an advertisement for a 2012-2013 exhibition of film posters designed by Franciszek Starowieyski, the first Polish artist to have a solo show at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
