This rare lantern was likely crafted in Turkey, Persia, or Morocco in the late 1800s to early 1900s. These were painstakingly hand-cut from solid brass and put on display in mosques, often for use as incense holders. If you look closely, you can see some dark residue that may have come from incense smoke or from later use as a lantern. When lit from inside, the globe casts a gorgeous light pattern against the wall; it is fun to try it out in different spaces to see how it interacts with the room. With it’s warm, aged brass tones it also looks very beautiful in the daylight, especially at an angle where you can see sunlight peaking through the many holes. This piece is in exceptionally good condition and ready for display over your dinner table, porch, gazebo, etc. The listed height of 21" denotes the overall hanging height of the lantern, including hook and chain.

The Chairish Buyer Guarantee ensures that you have complete peace of mind when

- Prior to shipping or local pickup, buyers may cancel an order for any reason, with the exception of some Made-to-Order items, where supplies have been purchased or work begun on the item.
- Please notify us within 24 hours of purchase if you would like to cancel an order, as prompt cancellation will reduce the likelihood that you will incur return shipping charges.

- Chairish Express In-Home deliveries are currently only offered for international cross-border shipments.
- The item will be delivered to your home and placed in the desired room. The delivery service includes unpacking, inspecting, and removing packaging materials; and does not include installation or setting up the item.

- Deliveries can take anywhere from 6 to 9 weeks to be delivered.
- Chairish Freight Delivery
- Delivered in a crate, to your front door.
- You will need tools and/or equipment to open the crate.

- Chairish Freight deliveries can take anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

- Chairish In-Home Delivery
