Pieter Jacobsz. van Laer or van LaarN, said in Italian: il Bamboccio or, in French, le Bamboche (baptized in Haarlem on December 15, 1599 and probably died in Haarlem in the fall of 1642), was a Dutch painter, draftsman and engraver (Provinces- united) belonging to the Dutch School, and active for more than a decade in Rome.
