This is an Authentic Early American Primitive 1 Gallon Size Stoneware Jug. Circa Very Early 19th Century. The Front is Embossed by the Documented Maker WOODBRIDGE,BIDWELL & CO. in Manchester Connecticut. It is Rendered in the Classic Ovoid Style - Shape. This Type of Smaller Size Jug was Typically Used to Store Spirits, Ciders, Etc. It has Chips at the Spout and Base Area as well as an Assortment of Cellar Freeze Cracks. It also has Numerous Surface Kiln Glaze Imperfections ( Stains Etc. ) that Would Have Occurred in the Firing Process. It is in Strong - Sound Condition and Displays Very Nicely - Has a Wonderful Authentic Old Look. A True Piece of Early Americana.
It measures 12 Tall x 7 3/4 Inches Long - Wide.
