A very traditional style that leads the eye through the landscape as it flows.
Beautifully executed trees, rocks and distant waterfalls. lead to the majestic mountains on the shoulder areas. People can be seen leaving the temple in the morning mist whilst a man fishes from his sampan with his little dog on the lake. Charming scenes.
Cobalt & royal blue underglaze brushwork. Stylised ocean/wave base border. Made for export market early to mid 20th.Century.
Signed on the underside by the artist/kiln as well as initialised on the inside of the neck with the artists signature.
This hand painted vase is one of a kind.
