Light as a feather! Until one has actually held a piece like this in ones hands, it's hard to comprehend the skill it takes to make an item like this. And it has survived the test of time!
An extremely fine Chinese 'eggshell' porcelain vase hand painted in a millefiori design interspersed with Imperial dragons against a gold background.
Pink and blue Ruyi border at top rim and a repeating "shield" border at base.
Comes with original padded box. This is an unusually large piece for eggshell porcelain.
With Qianlong Seal mark stamped on the underside in red.
Mid 20th century. A exceptionally pretty vase - we have stands available for sale if required.
Acquired from a collector of fine Chinese porcelains who has amassed such over the last 40 years. This would make an e lovely gift.
