I found these 3 bronze inkwells in China years ago...
.They appear to have residuals of Chinese ink inside...
These could have been used by the British who were living in mainland China during the 1800's...
The Chinese of that period were using "ink boxes" to store liquified ink...
But it is more likely that these were out of Hong Kong which was under British Control from 1842.
the smaller ones are roughly 1.25 x 1.25 inches, and 1.5 x 1.5 inches
the larger one is roughly 2.5 x 3.5 inches
