Antique Georgian Style Copper Coal Helmet With Original Scoop. This lovely 1820's piece has no major dents or scratches and the interior is very clean. All copper with the original scoop/shovel that has a handle the appears to be porcelain. It is very rare to find the scoop still intact with the coal helmet. Also rare to have the porcelain handle as most had a wooden handle or the handle was broken and replaced by wood. The measurements listed are with the handle in the upright position, with the handle down the piece measures 15.5 tall, 20 wide and 11.5 deep. The scoop measures 5.25 wide 14 deep and 4.25 tall. These are great as a storage for books, magazines, or wood and kindling beside a fireplace.
Also very rare to find one in this great of condition.
