Amber color Murano thick glass with a bulbous bottom realizes through a cut glass technique which brings out numerous facets of varying heights, with a luminous effect achieved by cutting back the glass to reveal lighter underlay. Marked ‘Salviati 2002’ on the bottom and manufacturer sticker label present. 
Anna Gili is an Italian artist and designer with an academic, professional, and artistic approach.

Dimensions: 47cm high, 11.5 cm diameter; inches: 18.31"h x 4.33" diameter.

Condition: Very good does not present any particular defect.

Salviati was founded by Antonio Salviati in 1859. Employing the best Murano glass makers and technicians Antonio who was a layer and amazed by the Murano glass industry, developed a new method of making mosaics with glass. Since the beginning Salviati has united design with innovation and craftsmanship, looking at Murano glass in a more contemporary way.
A furnace producing avant-garde ideas that nonetheless respect tradition with attention to detail, and which are of a timeless unicity. Anna Gili was born in Orvieto, (Italy). She graduated from I.S.I.A of Florence in 1984. Anna took part in the exhibition "elective affinities" at the Milan Triennale in 1985. Since then, she has displayed her work in a large number of design exhibits in Italy and abroad. Her works include "Noah's Ark" (1999) in the courtyard of the Atelier Mendini. See less
