Stunning American Walnut Victorian Dresser with Distinctive Design Features
This antique Victorian dresser, crafted from beautiful walnut, boasts a number of unique design elements that set it apart from the rest. From the burl walnut accents to the geometric spoon carving and the 3-dimensional top crest with curli-cue carving, this dresser is a true work of art. The original brass hardware with a shell motif and geometric keyholes add a touch of elegance, The marble top provides a durable and practical surface.
It features a swivel mirror. The locks on every drawer indicate that this dresser was originally designed for use in a home with servants. With pin and cove joinery dating back to the 1880s, this is an original piece and not a later reproduction. Refinished many years ago, it remains in excellent condition today.
Measuring 43 inches wide, 19 inches deep, and 81 3/4 inches at the top of the mirror (32 1/4 inches to the top of the marble surface), this outstanding American walnut Victorian dresser is truly a one-of-a-kind piece that would make a fantastic addition to any collection or home
