Additional Details: Printed by Mourlot for an Maurice Esteve exhibition held at Claude Bernard Galerie in 1974. Esteve is well-known for his rich, bright colors similar to the fauvist mouvement of the early 20th century.
The lithograph is also a great example of a printing process known as 'touche' which replicates the appearance of an original gouache. Heavy inking on large surfaces. Both Poliakoff and Esteve among others were masters at this technique.
