The table is rococo which is explained by the fact that the furniture styles lived on in the countryside far longer than they did in the cites. Rococo was the height of fashion in Stockholm around the 1770s but in the rest of the country the style was flourishing well into the 19th century. Which explains the dating 1849. The table is painted pine with initials and the dating 1849. It is the original first layer of paint with the authentic patina and distress of time that allows the wood to shine through in places and give the table its rustic appearance. The table features a larger drawer with the original drawer pull in iron. Healthy and stable frame. Height to the apron is 58 cm. The measurements are taken from the table top. See less
