Antique silver plated reticulated swing handle cake presentation piece by Lloyd, Payne & Ariel, Manchester, England - dated after 1888 (that being the date the co. moved to Manchester). This maker is on par with Gorham and Jensen. Intricately pierced metal work surrounded by scrolled foliage and flowers. The letter "M" is lightly engraved on each side - see photos - it's quite hard to see.
A high quality piece just right for those lazy summer days around the tea table! Can also be used for hand towels, sweets or whatever you choose.
Height with handle raised 9". Marked with co. name & #5417 on underside.
