Superb piece of early 20thC sculpture, artist not identified. Circa 1928 and cast in Belgium.
Fabulous! A gorgeous and skillfully rendered Art Nouveau tableaux of three fish swimming in turbulent waters. Period perfect in style, this bronze sculpture is exquisitely executed with incredible detail throughout, highlighted with a classic verdigris patina.
In excellent antique condition with minor, age-appropriate handling wear. Marked in mold with the artist's monogram (JM or MJ), date (1928) and foundry name/location (Verbeyst Fondeur, Bruxelles).
Measures 15.25"x 5"x 7.75" and weighs about 10lbs.
