This line is a commemoration, with rare curations we believe to hail from multidisciplinary Turkish designer Zeki Müren.

Hand-knotted in wool circa 1960-1970, this rug is a testament to Müren’s talent for marrying classic and modern elements in unique ways. The play of the field's very modern geometric patterns beside the border's more classically-inspired cartouches is a key example, and few like this artist achieve such a complementary look this way. Its colorway, too, exemplifies Müren's sense of attitude and whimsy, and the whole rug's level of detail is that of a masterpiece even today. A keen eye may further admire this piece among Müren’s mid-century interpretations of Art Deco sensibilities in a transitional rug style.
