The figure is captured in a dynamic pose, seated firmly in a decorative saddle with a focused, almost fierce expression, wearing a pointed helm that matches the emerald hue of his tunic. The horse is equally ornate, adorned with a studded bridle and a tasseled harness that features delicate floral or bead-like embellishments along its flanks.

The craftsmanship reflects the Sancai (three-color) glazing tradition, characterized by its vibrant use of green, amber, and off-white tones. Standing on a solid rectangular base, the piece balances the ruggedness of a military subject with the refined elegance of ancient pottery, utilizing fine linework to define the textures of the horse’s mane, the warrior’s quilted leg guards, and the decorative patterns on the saddlecloth.

In Chinese culture and Feng Shui, the horse represents success, speed, and status.

Direction Matters: It is often recommended to face the horses inward toward the center of the room. This symbolizes bringing success and energy into the home rather than letting it "gallop" out the door or window.

Avoid the Television: If your credenza doubles as a TV stand, try to keep the figures to the sides. Their intricate details can be distracting if they are too close to the screen, and they deserve a space where they aren't competing for your attention.
