The vase is decorated with six, finely drawn, polychrome Qilin amid finely painted, leafy, herbal flowers, in white and sepia glazes and detailed in gold highlights, all in low relief. A red, Da Ya Zhai mark is glazed at the base of the neck, and a red, Tian Di Yi Jia Chun medallion is glazed a little lower on the opposite side. A red and white, Yong Qing Chang Chun, Guangxu mark is glazed to the inset base. Circa Republic of China era, no later than mid century.
