Carved in France circa 1780, the decorative altar sticks have exquisite carvings with circular scalloped edges, metal bobeches, carved acanthus leaves and small scrolled feet. The pieces also have an interesting, luxurious color due to combined layers of gesso and gold leaf. The impressive, rounded stands are in wonderful condition with a well maintained gilt finish.
