It is by the well-known Japanese woodblock artist Ito Sozan (1884-?). The print is a kacho-e print (birds and flowers) from the shin hanga (new prints) print movement of the early 20th century. It is very nicely framed and matted. It measures 14 ½” x 6 ¼” within the mat and 19 ½”x11 ¾” framed. The print is in excellent condition except that it has been laid down to a backboard and the mat has been attached to the print. The colors are strong and there are no holes, stains, folds or fading. The mat and frame are also in excellent condition, so it is ready to hang, except it needs glass, because I will ship without the glass. If you pick it up or I deliver it, the glass will be included.
