Black transfer design in the center depicting a majestic two-mast ship, a schooner or brigantine, at full sail
Upfront a variety of nautical trophies and symbols are pictured: a British Navy ensign flag, a cannon, more flags, a trident, swords, barrel among others. There is also an angelical face, most likely symbolizing the beneficial winds
The borders are outlined with black bands
Marked at the underside with an impressed mark consisting of 4 triangles, in a circle, most likely Herculaneum pottery of Liverpool (in operation 1793-1841)
