I love this absolutely adorable porcelain cupid riding a “classical” dolphin on waves. So French! It has a delicate translucent hand-painted watercolor wash in pink and deep green on porcelain white.
Markings are an embossed “DEPOSE.” Depose is a ca. 1900 French word for “registered." Other markings are what looks to be a stylized “W”. Also a hand-painted mark in blue that looks like H.R. There is some staining on the inside of the vase portion from being used as a planter.
