Vintage BKF Hardoy “Butterfly Chairs” for knoll. Mid 20th century manufacture (1950-1970s) notice the slightly bent “ears” at top. Presented in their original age patina, some oxidation to steel frames, has been scrubbed and oiled. Brand new black cotton slings fit perfectly. Great comfortable loungers that can be stacked when not in use. Suitable for indoor or outdoor application. Highly comfortable, striking yet minimalist.
Mid Century Modern classic designed by Jorge Ferrari-Hardoy in 1938; the same year Knoll was founded. This is a later example likely 1950s-60s.
All welds intact and in excellent condition, ready for use, two pairs available.
