Woven in the 1970s in the Eskişehir region of Central Anatolia, this extra-long Turkish kilim runner brings a bold stripe story to any interior. Wool wefts on a sturdy cotton foundation create a village flat-woven textile that feels both authentic and surprisingly modern, perfect for leading the eye through a gallery-like hallway, an open-plan kitchen, or a covered porch overlooking the water.
Along nearly nineteen feet of length, rhythmic horizontal color bands of orange, red, aubergine, olive and charcoal animate the floor without overwhelming the architecture. The runner is vintage, used and in very good condition, professionally cleaned and completely odorless, with no repairs. As is typical of genuine handwoven pieces it is not perfectly rectangular and shows small natural irregularities, which adds to its character and confirms its handmade origin.

✨ Color Palette & Design Insight
This runner reads as warm, lively and grounded, giving a long shot of color that suits modern, boho, lake house, farmhouse and mid-century spaces. The stripes add movement down a corridor or along a bank of cabinetry while remaining easy to pair with neutral walls, wood, stone and metal finishes.
• Bright tangerine and pumpkin-orange bands that instantly lift the room
• Deep paprika and wine reds adding richness and depth
• Charcoal and soft black stripes that frame and ground the composition
• Muted olive, khaki and tobacco-brown tones for an earthy, natural feel
• Heathered aubergine and dusty purple accents that soften and refine the palette
✨ Motifs & Symbolism
Rather than figurative motifs, this piece relies on a disciplined sequence of horizontal color bands, a layout long favored in Central Anatolian village weaving for its sense of rhythm and continuity. The endless stripes can be read as a visual echo of daily life and movement through the home, giving a feeling of flow along a hallway or stair. The simplicity of the composition makes it especially attractive to designers and collectors who want an unmistakably handmade Turkish kilim that still aligns with clean, contemporary interiors.
