Designed by Paolo Venini, circa … Read more Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso blue and peachy color Italian art glass flower vase. Designed by Paolo Venini, circa 1955 for Venini e. Co. The vase has an elegant tapered / corseted / hourglass shape. It is signed underneath "Venini Murano Italia" along the edge, and has a large circular pontil mark. The texture is created by very thin horizontal cuts to the glass, a technique called "Inciso". Model number 4804, according to the "Red Catalog" in Venini books. Would make a great display piece on any desk, console table, or cabinet. Mid-century era. A true collectors item. The bottom part of the vase is very thick and heavy glass. Measurements: 10 1/8" tall x 5 1/4" across the rim.
