Circa Late … Read more This Really is an Absolutely Beautiful - Very Fine Quality Antique American Victorian Sterling Silver Wine Bottle Coaster. Circa Late 19th Century. Note that it has a Interior Convex Bottom - Basin to Accommodate the Concave Bottoms on Wine Bottles. This is a Totally Made Piece of Silver. It has a Fancy - Bold High Relief Hand Repousse and Engraved Perimeter. The Complexity and Attention to Detail in the Hand Tooled Features can Easily Be Attributed to a Master Silversmith. It is Marked STERLING - 925/1000 FINE - 290. It has No Maker Mark but it has a Gorham Manufacturing Company "+" 1886 Date Mark so in My Experienced and Considered Opinion it is Gorham and Most Likely a Special Order Piece. It is in Excellent Condition - No Damage - No Repairs - No Added or Removed Monograms. It is Lightly Tarnished - Could Use a Good Polishing. It has a Substantial Solid Sterling Silver Weight of 140.45 Grams - 4.516 Troy Ounces.
It Measures 1 3/4 inches Tall x 7 1/4 inches Long - Wide.
