This beautiful example of Heintz Art Metal has a gorgeous leaf and vine design with "W G C" in the center. Handcrafted and forged in bronze, with a sterling silver overlay that was applied without solder, in a patented process. Possibilities abound with this unique trophy. It will make a lovely addition to any room.
In 1902, Otto L. Heintz founded The Heintz Art Metal Shop of Buffalo, New York. In 1906, he developed an artistic style known for utilizing bronze, accented with sterling silver overlay in naturalistic forms as ornamentation.
From a 1916 trade catalog:
“Heintz wares have won an enviable reputation among buyers of art goods.
The Heintz Art Metal Shop permanently closed its operations in 1930, but its signature techniques, patterns, and patinas live on.
The back reads:
