Chinese porcelain floral tianqiuping, a globular vase with blue and white glazes of the period, ocean waves and a Ru Yi border below the lip. A larger band of Ru Yi lappets, followed by a meander border and a wide band of floral medallions adorns the flange of the neck. A symbol of the Buddhist Ashtamangala, The Endless Knot, is centered on the body front and verso amid ornate, intertwining branches of flowers and leaves, bracketed by a third Ru Yi border above and a fourth one at the foot. A blue six character Qianlong reign mark in Zhuanshu script is glazed to the inset base. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu, circular base is included. Circa early 20th century, no later than mid century.
