The delightful, stylized garden motif of flowers, bees and dragonfly, embroidered from raffia, sets the tone for this nicely sized basket. Whimsical and utilitarian, this cutie was handwoven from coconut leaves in a simple over and under weave. The basket’s colors are naturally aged beiges and tans while the embroidered garden motif is done in soothing hues of lavender, marigold, green, mango and mint. The liner with ties is included and is ivory in color. It measures: width 17” from handle tip-to handle tip / 14” from side to side excluding handles; height 11¼” from handle tip to bottom / 9” excluding handles; 10” depth; interior 14” x 10” x 8½” W/D/H; weight 11 oz. In excellent condition with age appropriate wear. It hails from the 1980s and was handcrafted in Hawaii.
